Pros

it’s a good starting job you get good pay and if you do my title the job itself isn’t too difficult

Cons

however the pay is standard pay for warehouse / stock out- you can get this pay if not more in other warehouse job so it’s not a huge pro. If you want more hours it’s very difficult to get. You have to line up for Overtime it’s as if you’re back at school. gets ridiculous sometimes we like up in front of customers for up to 30 mins after a shift just to get an extra day or two at most. management has favourites i guess this is an issue everywhere but if you’re not a favourite you defo don’t get as much special benefits, like if you want to progress your career here it’s near impossible. Being sick is hell, everytime you’re off work even if it’s for something minor you HAVE TO do a back to work meeting. They make it out that it’s military you’re questioned over eveyrhing and made to feel like you’re not allowed to not come into work. Sick pay also isn’t an option which is silly in this day and age. Stock out is the only decent shift in primark otherwise day to day retail assistant i do not recommend. Often come across nasty customers, the shop is always so busy it gets messy so quickly. Definitely need a lot of patience and energy.

Pros

You get lots of PTO up front as a part timer and can gain flex hours overtime. Get a 50 cent raise every six months.

Cons

Was told during onboarding that if a Christian comes into the store spreading the gospel, I have to kick them out. This includes the mention of the Jesus without the church invite. Managers claim its rude and if a customer does it, they get booted. Faced harassment from a customer and management didn't let me switch too a different department. Extremely high turnover rate and managers don't replace them, making your job more stressful during peak hours. Hard to use PTO. Little to no training. Too many bachelor and master holding part timers who get lucked out of moving up in the company. Managers give some people no task while pilling on multiple tasks on one person. Too many managers to deal with (and usually never find) and the full timers make you do the dirty work while they "unpack boxes". Its a pro-LGBT anti christian company. If they want to be pro-LGBT, than more power to them. But anti-Christian is discriminatory and unnecessary.
