Pros
-Accounting department was recently formed, so there is a great opportunity to push your way up and earn responsibility quickly. There is potential to grow a lot as an accountant here. -The co-workers (not management) are amazing; they want you to win and succeed! -Job security....we're in healthcare!
Cons
-Horrible work-life balance: It' simply non-existent. Across the board, management has misled the majority, if not all, employees that work-life balance would be intact while working for Prime, but that is not the case at all. Be prepared to work 10-12 hour days at times as it is impossible to avoid. -Job structure/workload: The job structure in this accountant department is extremely rigid. As hard as the other co-workers here try to help, it really feels like everyone is on their own as the workload is simply too much for every single accountant. Although it is one department, its rare that collaboration occurs among teams, and even within the same team. Every accountant is simply on the verge of burnout from being overwhelmed with their own tasks. Due to this structure, it's rare for anyone to find the time to receive help or even provide help to others, especially within a 8 hour workday. -Lack of standardization in management: I believe this is more of an issue of higher management, but management and their policies are not uniform at all throughout the department. As the department continues to grow, it has also become extremely hard to standardize how the job is done, and it just creates more confusion for newer employees.
