Pros
The work in the legal department is not hard at all. Most of the attorneys are fairly incompetent and you just need to keep up and try not to get on their bad sides to do well. For the most part they are nice enough but they have their own pressures they are dealing with from management/those upstairs so they are normally trapped in their own worlds. The other paralegals/clerks/assistants are extremely nice and some of the most wonderful people you'll ever work with, this is not an exaggeration.
Cons
There are so many things to cover it is hard to know where to start. I am personally shocked that they haven't been buried in litigation from current/former employees who've been mistreated or discriminated against. My best guess is Prime is not worth any reasonable person's time, plus if there's one thing they are good at it's dodging lawsuits. Seriously, look up their history and how often they've been under a microscope from state and federal agencies. They know how to weasel their way out of trouble. Before I left there was an email going around asking people to submit positive Indeed/Glassdoor reviews of the company because they were getting sued for mistreatment from a group of former employees. Around this time was when a coworker of mine quit after her and her sister were discriminated against - a white employee had falsely accused her of following too close in the parking lot (which video evidence showed was clearly not the case), however management and those investigating (including my coworker's manager) ignored this evidence and penalized her and her sister for no apparent reason. I am hoping they pursued a lawsuit but am also hoping they would not waste their time sifting through garbage like them. Another of my coworkers was repeatedly denied the opportunity to shift to an early schedule (which many of us enjoyed in this department) so they could get off earlier in order to observe their religious practices, which required they be home earlier to prepare for the evenings. There was no clear reason for this and when the manager was asked they simply responded "they'll just have to deal with it". It seems like a lot of those in management positions fetishize what little authority they have at this company and get off on abusing it. There are multiple instances I have seen in my time in this company's legal department which only furthered this belief. My best guess is these are people who couldn't make it at actually reputable companies and settled for being big fish in a little pond. Avoid if you can, unless it's the best thing you can find. I know I joined because I just needed a job and there was nothing better, but somehow I wish I made it work without this job since it left me completely jaded and I was happy the day I finally got them to fire me, even though it meant losing my paycheck without anything lined up.
