Pros
You work remotely in the comfort of your home with equipment provided by the company.
Cons
While the initial years offered a positive experience, the role has undergone some changes that impacted my job satisfaction. Leadership: If you are stuck with a supervisor who has no expertise in claims processing you are pretty much on your own. Micromanagement practices were present. Technology: The primary work platform experiences frequent crashes and requires improvement in process efficiency. Compensation & Schedule: The pay falls within the lower range for the industry, but overtime opportunities are available during peak seasons. Expect to work extended hours (10+ per week) during these periods. Work Environment: Micromanagement tactics heavily influence daily work, with activity monitored through computer usage metrics. Team Dynamics: High turnover can create a sense of instability and require frequent onboarding of new colleagues. Collaboration: Restrictions on seeking assistance from senior technicians may limit access to valuable problem-solving resources.
