Pros

- Dedicated staff - Franchise co-owner was open for meetings and committed to solving issues that I would bring to her - Despite stressful turnover and staffing shortages, I was not shamed for needing to call in when I was too sick to work

Cons

- App postings used for parent/teacher communications was micromanaged - Praise was given to teachers who post on app most frequently, not enough attention given to positive classroom environment for children and teachers - Instead of focusing on the quality of curriculum implementation, Primrose focused on doing the most amount of curriculum a day - I was given a meeting with school director to address concerns I had with instances of neglect I observed that were the direct result of a school policy forbidding male teachers from diapering children in their care. This policy was antithetical to Primrose's value of diversity and anti-discrimination. It resulted in blowouts, diaper rashes, and infants sitting in their soiled diapers. There are ways to prevent abuse perpetrated by all teachers that may take place during diapering, and the sexist laziness of this policy was difficult to accept.

Pros

I absolutely loved our families and their children.

Cons

From my first week of training, I could tell they didn't want me there. The assistant director is very dismissive and rude and the director is condescending. Never really had an issue with other staff members, but it was obvious the director and assistant director were trying to push me out. The curriculum director was so kind and sweet, but she left too, feeling like the director and assistant director were using her and walking all over her. I absolutely do not recommend.
