Pros

This used to be a great place to work. The students have struggles, but most are committed to their learning through some very difficult circumstances. The administration, as of late, has virtually collapsed. The basics are not getting done (they just missed a pay period for the entire adjunct faculty - as in NO PAYCHECKS - and the response to this on the part of the administration has been caviler at best), and the rising CYA attitude on the part of the administration in general has changed the vibe of the place in a very deleterious way. I love the students, but I am really not sure it's worth it anymore. The adjunct faculty is pretty spectacular. I love my colleagues. They are completely committed to our students and very knowledgable in their respective fields.

Cons

As an adjunct, there is no room for advancement. These are part time positions which makes them ineligible for medical benefits (even for self purchase into the college based plans.)

Pros

You have to provide assistance to students who needed help pickout their schedule, manage the front desk, and the Owl Market. However, their was always a team their to share the load.

Cons

If you have a supervisor, who does not want to accept your PTO request. You are not getting that PTO not matter how much you accrue.
