Pros

The students and coworkers are wonderful! They provide laptops for employees which is rare in this field.

Cons

The COVID-19 response has been nothing short of despicable. They brought all employees into the office 5 days a week in the midst of the Delta variant. There are no work-from-home days offered, and employees who require them were given 5 over the course of August, after which, there has been no option provided. The college's COVID-19 policy has "phases" according to the risk level. The COVID-19 data BY THEIR OWN REPORTING places them in the high risk category, which according to their policy would have everything remote. Instead, they are moving forward with in-person classes with no capacity limits or vaccine/testing requirements, and are even holding a college-wide in-person ceremony. I want to like PGCC. I really do. The students and coworkers are fantastic. But the past month has made me lose any respect I had for the institution.

Pros

You have to provide assistance to students who needed help pickout their schedule, manage the front desk, and the Owl Market. However, their was always a team their to share the load.

Cons

If you have a supervisor, who does not want to accept your PTO request. You are not getting that PTO not matter how much you accrue.
