Zero managerial feedback, no guidance, and office politics. - Research Technician Princeton University Employee Review

Pros

We got free lunch twice a week. Also annual retreats to sit in on current research.

Cons

My manager favored some employees over others. Manager did not provide a single performance review for the two years I was there. The daily schedule was 8-10 hours with legally required 1 hour uninterrupted break. I had to complain in order to get the 1 hour uninterrupted break after a year into the job. There was zero onboarding, or introductions to the work environment, leaving me feel unwelcome and isolated. All around the worst job experience I ever had. I chose to stay as long as I did simply because it was a prestigious Ivy League school.
