Pros
Most of the time everyone worked together.Working off campus keeps you out of the "politics"
Cons
Wage "freeze" at about 15 years. A lump sum bonus is not the same. After 30 years at ProMedica, my salary in 2017 was only $1.00 more than 2009! New grads were making close to that!I retired The last week of May ( even worked an extra month to help with vacations. I received an e-mail informing me of my bonus amount but then received a call from HR, stating that I would not receive it since I didn't work the first week of June. After 30 years I feel that the amount should have been prorated. The same thing happened to some with the "buyouts" where they received a letter with information only to find out that they missed the deadline by a couple of days. Some management was aware of the impending buyout and encouraged some of their staff to "hang on." Also if a paycheck was not issued due to someone else's fault the employee should not have to spend their time to make sure it is issued in the proper amount of the taxes withheld and then not have to drive all over town to get it.
