Pros

Lots of benefits: paid time off, health insurance, 401K, life insurance. Its a large company and they have many opportunities to transfer unit to unit (after a 6 month period in the position you hired into).

Cons

Very much depends on which unit you work in and what shift you work how well people work together. Night shift is the ugly step child. Meetings and mandatory classes are often scheduled at times that are simply impossile for night shift to attend. Some facilities don't even have an open cafeteria at night. Even Toledo Hospital, the largest in the Promedica family, has a very limited menu at night. Although nurse to nurse communications are often good, it is very difficult to make a complaint against a supervisor which can make some units very difficult to work in.
