Pros

-Most peers are helpful/friendly -You can wear jeans on Fridays

Cons

**95% of the good reviews on this site are from the Recruiting candidates that do NOT work for ProTech (PSGI) internally and SHOULD BE IGNORED if she or he is not from Memphis or if stating she or he worked on contract** -Zero chance for internal growth or promotion - no climbing ladders here! -Few times you aren't put in a highly stressful environment or trying to meet the next quota -Useless meetings followed by new directions/goals every week handed down by CEO & President -Culture & values are run amuck by gossip & rumors of department cliques and loyalty is hard to come by for this reason -Known favoritism amongst employees & management -Salary pay is not competitive & raises are minuscule even in a management position; benefits, such as health insurance, are expensive especially with a family.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We take critiques seriously and utilize them to better our business. Because we are a small, local business, unfortunately there are not as many positions available as would be possible in a larger company. But, we work to ensure that every employee is being fairly compensated and recognized for their contributions. As in all sales-based businesses, account executives are encouraged to meet their quotas. This is a mutually beneficial goal. ProTech gains new business and improves profitability; account executives receive commission based on the sale. The technology industry is constantly changing and requires that our goals and direction be modified to reflect those changes. Any new goals or directions given by myself or the CEO are in an effort to meet the needs of our community and keep in pace with industry trends. We offer a full benefits package that includes life, health, dental and vision insurance along with a 401K program that offers a 4% employer match. We believe that this is in line with other companies’ benefits. I appreciate your review and regret that you did not enjoy your experience with ProTech. I wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope that you are able to find a company that better suits your expectations. Please feel free to email me at dweddle@psgi.net.

Cons

Throughout my time spent here, one pattern defined the experience: middle management would set a direction, teams would commit real work and real client promises to it, and then the senior leadership would steer things somewhere else entirely. What you were told on Monday rarely survived to Friday. The CEO was also largely absent day to day. Decisions that affected entire teams were made with little visibility into how or by whom, and there was almost no direct access to the executive making them. The cost was real: wasted effort, missed commitments, and a steady erosion of trust. You cannot plan, you cannot deliver, and eventually you stop believing anything leadership says. Ideas get sold internally and to clients, then quietly abandoned with no one accountable for the gap. Roles were also poorly defined. Engineers routinely carried account-management responsibilities that should have sat with dedicated staff, and the lines between business functions were never properly drawn. The more senior you became, the more of this you absorbed. Growth in the role meant inheriting other people's job descriptions rather than deepening your own. The turnover speaks for itself. Over my time here, I watched a steady stream of capable people decide it wasn't worth staying, and when good people leave that consistently, it's not a coincidence, it's a verdict. I raised concerns about practices I believed were improper. I was laid off shortly after. I'll let the timing speak for itself. I did work here I was genuinely proud of, and the clearest sign of how things ended is that I chose to leave those years off my resume rather than risk how they might be characterized by the very leaders who failed us. Prospective employees should weigh carefully how this company treats people who ask uncomfortable questions, and how it speaks of them once they're gone.
