Meaningful work Gain experience among a wide-range of populations Good benefits for full-time staff (free health insurance, generous vacation time) Full time staff works a 3 x 12 schedule (could also be a con depending on personal preference)

Cons

Although fulfilling, work environment can be high-stress, often working with acute clients without adequate staffing or training Pay rate is not comparable to the potential risks of working with acute populations, thus contributing to employee turnover and understaffing Lack of communication/support from clinical team and program admin

Cons

I feel like it is unethical to treat the most vulnerable clients in the community with our level of care and licensing. I think it's unfair for both the workers and the clients and puts a lot of undue stress on everyone.
