Pros

The team in the St Albans office are wonderful people who are passionate about supporting young people through providing excellent quality training to the adults that work with young people. I learnt a lot from the trainers and this supported me in getting my next role. I used this as a stepping stone and it worked to support my move into healthcare. Once I was earning commission I earnt well because I had negotiated well but this wasn't the case for all and salaries were wildly different. I earnt £35,000 basic and 10% commission on sales. Towards the end I was taking home approx £5000 per month. Some were on £25,000 with minimal commission for practically the same role. There were also discrepancies across the administrative team.

Cons

This is no longer a social care business that is looking to improve outcomes for young people. This is now a money making, tech company that are focusing on profiting from the social care market. I joined this company for the values marketed but ultimately left because of the actual values which did not align. It is chaotically run. Like absolute carnage. I've worked in BD for 15 years and never seen anything run so badly in my life. Minimal training is provided and when it is the SMT are not aligned on what to do so there is a lot of confusion. Their people management is diabolical. They treated the original owner of one of the businesses acquired to create Flourish so despicably and without morals and for me this was the final straw. This owner created the brand to support the care industry because she was passionate about it. Unfortunately Flourish destroyed it and never understood the true benefits of the model created, effectively running it into the ground, leaving the owner high and dry and taking no accountability.
