Pros

From a strategic business lense PRG is killing it! Accuracy & Efficiency are the most important workplace behaviors to demonstrate to succeed. Issue Payment & Close Claims as quickly & "accurately" as possible. This drives cost of claims down & grows margins. Additionally you can't forget about Progressives 5-star "Diversity & Inclusion" metrics they over-market everywhere because of the catchy buzzwords, but doesn't actually describe anything besides company make-up percentages. It doesn't inform a candidate how Progressive treats they're bottom workforce any different. Employment Cashflows Benefits Gainshare 401K 16hrs additional PTO

Cons

From a bottom line adjuster lense PRG is an unsustainable career unless you move for a supervisor or manager position as local leaders are God-complex unremovable whom have been in the Organization when $PRG was trading below $20/share. Most management in the Oregon Claims are riding they're 401Ks & gainshare that pays more than salary after tax to retirement. They show & communicate very little care for they're team working 50-60hr a week on salary. There would be way less negative feedback if Progressive paid adjuster hourly with overtime. I'd still be working there... But it's very clear that is not the most efficient & accurate claims workforce strategy & would cost significant more for claims adjusters. $PRG is likely developing advanced AI solutibons for claims handling with the large amount of data they own. Auto claims is not for the faint of heart & is a grueling position. Be prepared to constantly be in arguments with customers, shops, and leaders about every decision you make. Thick skin is an absolute must. Workload Leadership Growth Advancement Education Toxic stagnant leadership in Oregon Claims Business group. Leadership does not work for the team; the team works for leadership.

Pros

Work from home, Ok opportunities to learn more but opportunities are becoming slim.

Cons

Between Micromanagement, work overload and with the use of vendors and AI employees are at risk. Corporate seems to not care that were all tired of the customers that are being abusive when corporates made bad decisions and these poor people have thousands withdrawn from an AI error. Pay for this level of company and the increasing headaches is not good, no monthly bonus, no commissions. No pension. Health benefits are available but not affordable. And the undo stress is causing my peers to consider quiting even ones that been here over 10yrs
