Pros

When looking back there weren’t too many! Your time at PLD is mainly defined by negative experiences with a small smattering of semi enjoyable moments. Impact Day is usually fun though!

Cons

Honestly, a lot! The Business is designed around senior leadership. If you aren’t in that bracket, and 95% of staff aren’t, then you are in for a tough time. Promotion opportunities are so limited that they are almost non existent. This is likely to be an issue for ambitious younger employees but the lack of headroom is no issue for those within the upper echelons of the organisation. They have already got to where they want to be, why should they care about you? (They really don’t, that’s the answer, although you won’t get that level of honesty). It’s also tough to actually do your job. There are so many layers of middle management in the organisation that the process is slow and cumbersome. Getting anything accomplished doesn’t feel like a success because it’s so attritional. Middle management layers are much more concerned about how a failure, or potential failure, will impact upon them that they limit opportunities for others to succeed. There are also colleagues within the business who are almost impossible to work with and make your job harder than it needs to be. Finally, they don’t actually pay very well compared to other organisations in the same space. Bonuses and salaries are far lower here than almost anywhere else where you will do a comparable job.

Pros

Opportunity to work with large customers with exposure to many facets of real estate. Significant emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. You don't feel like you are on an island. Managers and management seek feedback. They do not want employees to suffer in silence. Many opportunities across different functions of the company.

Cons

Fast paced environment can create project fatigue. Priorities can shift quickly based on market conditions and customer demands.

Pros

As a Maintenance Technician, I take pride in helping maintain some of the highest-quality industrial and commercial properties in the industry. It’s rewarding to know that my work directly contributes to our customers’ success and operational efficiency. Working for Prologis means being part of an organization that prioritizes safety, training, and operational excellence. Having the right tools, resources, and support allows me to perform my job effectively and safely. I’m proud to be part of a team that values its people and invests in maintaining best-in-class facilities. I have the opportunity to solve problems, support our customers, and contribute to the overall success of our properties every day. I play an important role in ensuring our buildings remain safe, reliable, and operating at a high standard. It’s rewarding to know that my work helps support the supply chains and businesses that keep the economy moving.

Cons

The expectations for building maintenance and customer service are high, which can make for busy days, but it also creates opportunities to learn and develop new skills. Depending on the property portfolio, there may be times when multiple priorities need attention at once, requiring strong time-management and problem-solving skills.
