Pros
- Industry leading products - Growing company - Smart acquisitions - They pay well - CEO has been with the company since day 1
Cons
- The SE management team had a notorious reputation for sexual harassment of female employees and having a "frat boy" kind of culture among management and mid-level management. This goes for both the Sunnyvale, CA and Draper, UT locations. - The company cuts corners on everything to save a dime. It's to the point that even when they try to do nice things, it is obvious they are trying to save money. In fact, they hold their budgets for employee lunches only when the executives can participate. - There is an elitist culture among the executives, especially with the CEO. He has a mandatory talent show at every SKO where he demands the sales people do various skits and performances for his entertainment and he acts a judge who approves or disapproves. It is reminiscent of a king and his jesters. He also is out of touch with the average American, talking casually about how he takes trips to Taiwan almost every weekend as though this is something the average person can relate to. - The company only cares about protecting itself and not that of the employee. They emphasize culture, but there is none. And if they don't like you or feel you "fit in", they'll force you out using shady tactics such as reassigning you many times so that you don't meet your performance goals and then they can force you out based on "low performance". - They ran all the high paid sales people out and brought in entry level sales people who don't how to do their jobs properly. - Management has a "do as I say, not as I do" type of style, often working from home while not allowing their subordinates to do the same.
