Pros

Proofpoint has great products and services. They are founded on strong core service products and are positioned well across a world-wide market. They pay a better than average compensation and have good benefits. They have good general training for both products and Sales methods. They also offer generous additional compensation.

Cons

Proofpoint is management heavy and has a reputation for too much Sales turnover within the sales channel and their customer account managers in general. Their frontline Sales turnover is very high and does not serve their customers well. Additionally, the company overtly promotes DIE (Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity) and both directly and indirectly pressures employees to adopt those practices and liberal ideology with little regard to other opinion or feelings. Their training needs to be better for the product market segments that they best serve - particularly the products geared for SME market segments. There was a definite disconnect in understanding how those products really worked for their customers verses how they were promoted and how Sales people were taught to present them.

Pros

fairly lax with lots of time to do things

Cons

many. Former CEO ran things poorly and took in managers who brought along their problems and animosities with them. Not only that, they were allowed to invite their friends to come and join too, many of them owing their jobs to someone creating a bro culture. Even though top mgmt changed since the sale, its many of these people still there to this day. Most of the systems were a black box, existing engineers were mostly uncooperative to keep their knowledge to themselves, the offshore engineers in one particular country were especially bad for this. I have seen major accomplishments achieved by someone, where so many others had failed, only to get fired soon after.
