Pros

The company has great products, the general employees are great, the health benefits are great, the culture is standard, nothing really special about it, no special perks are offered, except fruit and nuts and free sodas in the break room.

Cons

Middle management is a complete joke! I read reviews before accepting the position and saw a lot about growing pains, and yes there are definite growing pains, as in the rapid growth/acquisitions of other companies is not handled well at all. I have been throw growing pains with a company before, but nothing ever like this! They are not at all flexible and suggestions for improvement of processes or implementation of better process were not welcomed at all. I have never been treated so poorly in any job I have ever had by so many people, in particular my own manager. All the mid-level managers I dealt with had a chip on their shoulders and were impossible to talk to.

Pros

fairly lax with lots of time to do things

Cons

many. Former CEO ran things poorly and took in managers who brought along their problems and animosities with them. Not only that, they were allowed to invite their friends to come and join too, many of them owing their jobs to someone creating a bro culture. Even though top mgmt changed since the sale, its many of these people still there to this day. Most of the systems were a black box, existing engineers were mostly uncooperative to keep their knowledge to themselves, the offshore engineers in one particular country were especially bad for this. I have seen major accomplishments achieved by someone, where so many others had failed, only to get fired soon after.
