Great protection story that is a good conversation starter. But Proofpoint has started to lose the "engine". You'll still buy Honda because of the engine and not so much for the looks or fancy buttons.
Cons
The allocation of support and resources within the company has been inefficient and misaligned with the business's growth expectations. Despite consistently achieving over 90% of my target, I found that 95% of my time was spent managing internal processes and resources, which is unlike any other company I've worked for. Management has been brought in externally, with little understanding or influence over critical escalation processes. During my four years at Proofpoint, I experienced significant turnover in leadership, having four different line managers and two regional managers, none of whom were consistently involved in the sales process. After being promoted internally, I learned during my exit interview with senior management that my compensation was 30% below that of my peers, meaning I would have needed another 1-3 years just to reach parity with them.
