Pros
none. I could sit here and lie to you but anyone who applies here should know this is a JOB, not a career.
Cons
Basically everything. You are selling software as a service to real estate agents/brokers. The average real estate agent is; female and 45-50 years old. This should let you know that most real estate agents/brokers are not technological savy. Many people in real estate use real estate as their second job, they are not looking for any type of technology to grow. Think of the real estate agents you know, how many of them need a software to do their business, they basically use their references inside the community. Boston Logic also does not want to do much custom work, which the biggest and best real estate brokerages want. If you are a brokerage with 500+ agents, which their are very few of, you want a custom system most the time. The idea of selling an out of the box service to high end customers does not work. The idea of selling a high end product to small brokerages does not usually work, they can not afford to buy the Boston Logic system. The real estate market has not grown in over 50 years. If you look back real estate sales have basically been stagnate over the last 50 years or so. The marketplace is saturated with companies that do the same thing Boston Logic does. Furthermore, many of the biggest real estate brokerages build their own custom systems and do not have a need to use Boston Logic's software. If you want to work for a company that is fighting for a small piece of the pie in an industry that is stagnate and most of the potential customers do not understand technology and have no interest in it then Boston Logic is the place for you.
