Pros

Nothing great here except HQ is in city. Close to many nice restaurants. Capital investment, risk, fraud and CS teams are good as they're the only folks who work hard in this company

Cons

Absolutely no innovation interms of product, technology and business. All (product, technology and business) areas compete to suck big time... CPO as a leader who can only think of cosmetic items to fix. All his product staff are paycheck collectors who havent done any innovative products/offerings to INCREASE SINGLE BIT OF REVENUE. People who can't spell a single technology are in top two tech positions... hahah. They're responsible for Prosper's complicated technology vision. I seriously pitty this company and its CEO for believing these incompetent leaders. TECHNOLOGY means zero innovation here. vpEng CANNOT identify any technological problem. just ask around and turn switches off for envs. Technology team has been guided to just oil the wheels - fix environments, change goodrelease cadence w/o fixing code quality, bring up stg2. thats it fellas. because of CTO's and VPE's goupies and politics, lot of good people are leaving. especially, there are no Systems Ops people to run production.

Pros

I have truly enjoyed my time at Prosper. It is a company that offers genuine opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges within your role. I absolutely love my team, my manager, and find the work itself deeply fulfilling. One of the standouts for me is the leadership. Having come from a previous company where leadership was hesitant to make difficult choices, which led to multiple rounds of layoffs, I have a massive appreciation for how Prosper’s leadership operates. They are willing to make short-term, sometimes unpopular decisions because they prioritize the long-term safety and stability of all employees. It is a huge relief to work for a financially stable organization where I can see myself building a long-term career. Prosper is also one of the most diverse companies I have been a part of. From my perspective, the compensation is very competitive compared to other industry ranges I have seen, and the benefits offerings meet my needs.

Cons

While the leadership makes the right calls for long-term stability, the resulting tough decisions can sometimes be difficult to navigate in the moment, the transparency behind the decisions is super helpful.

Pros

Fast-paced environment, able to directly contribute to company goals Good people who genuinely believe in the mission We regularly hear customer testimonials detailing how we've had a positive impact on their lives Leadership is transparent about company performance Only 2 days a week in the office

Cons

The company performed well in 2025, but we didn't see some benefits return until this year which has caused residual frustration Smaller teams offer less growth opportunity Some mid-level leaders manage up very well Pay is okay, but not competitive with larger tech companies
