Worst hospital I've worked for - Registered Nurse Prosser Memorial Hospital Employee Review

Pros

Excellent staff nurses (the few that there are) in both MedSurg and OB, excellent charge nurses on day and night shift. Hard-working and friendly nurse aides, good nurse to patient ratio (5 or 6 at the most), OB nurses go to MedSurg side to help out with small tasks when extra busy, physicians are very nice, take any type of patients even ones that no other facility will keep, not picky about that like some other facilities are

Cons

Horrible nurse aide to patient ratio (1 side for 14-21 patients on day shift, some days NO aide). mixed Medical unit so newborns, peds, OB and adult patients. Mix of rehab, observation, MedSurg and post-op. Most of the staff is travelers or agency at any given time, severe staffings problems (no one wants to work there), floor nurses have to respond to code in other departments
