Pros

- There a few people at the management level who actually want to retain employees and make best efforts to retain employees - Flexible hours - Great culture

Cons

- Certain Risk and Compliance solution employees get promoted every year. There is little consideration for years of experience or individual potential. Promotions are a joke; only based on favoritism and not on performance. - Only Risk and Compliance practice members lead the high visibility initiatives and produce zero results. They leverage other people's work to go up the ladder. The Managers and Senior Managers in this solution are less knowledgeable and have less PM skills as compared to their peers in other solutions. - Projects are not very challenging and you may feel that you have been demoted 2 levels when you work on them. - There is no consideration for staffing on right projects and in often case it does not match your skill set at all. You can be staffed on these projects for months together as advisers only focus on keeping you chargeable.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
