Pros

- Great leadership team at the MD Level - Career and Executive Advisor program is nice - Friendly culture - plenty of happy hours

Cons

- Lack of training. Oftentimes large, boring projects that have already been sold are left to be managed by untrained managers. When projects don't go according to plan, blame is placed on the execution team and no one bothers to identify the root causes of the project process inefficiencies - Some terrible employees have risen to the Director level who unfairly rate those working on their projects- which are largely HMDA projects. - Too many projects that aren't "true" consulting - Lack of transparency around promotion decisions. Opportunities are given only to "favorite" employees making it difficult for others to succeed

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
