Pros

Protiviti cares about employees as much as clients. The leaders (direct supervisors, corporate office AND chiefs) are humble, patient, fun and supportive. Every employee is assigned mentors/advisers (career adviser, mentor, peer adviser) to support you personally and professionally. Many opportunities to be involved corporate social responsibility activities and other office activities (diversity and inclusion committee, social committee, etc). Work is challenging and very engaging. PTO is great (21 days plus holidays).

Cons

I personally can't think of any cons where solutions would reside with Protiviti as a firm as it relates to my experience.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
