Pros

Good culture and people. Frequent office-wide activities that are actually fun (happy hours and such). Relatively younger employee-base which makes it a great work environment for starting a career out of college. Good benefits (insurance, paid time off, flexibility to relocate, certification reimbursement).

Cons

Relatively low compensation compared to industry average, especially considering the number of hours worked for most projects. The actual work is tedious, but that's more the industry and not Protiviti. The heavily advertised benefit of "great work/life balance" is not accurate for most lower-level consultants.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
