Pros

The people care and your development is their priority. Quick promotions

Cons

Drastically different experience depending on location. Seem to have shifted away from IAFA towards tech consulting which was a very fast unexpected shift. Rather than innovate our approach to a core offering to become more compelling, the company has chosen to enter a new and competitive field they seem to have little experience with and it shows. Work was incredibly limited, I was on one kind of engagement my entire employment (SOX). Other opportunities were rare and often involved travel or were given to managers. Manager quality has decreased as hiring speed increased. Managers are often hesitant to be innovative and lack ideas in this realm. Pay and benefits are bad

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience working at Protiviti. I wish we could have had the opportunity to engage you further on the various solution offerings we do provide. While it's important that we grow through hiring, we do focus heavily on ensuring a full one year transition through our Passport to Protiviti program. However, we recognize that your experience is not what we strive to be and we have taken your feedback to heart. Best of luck in the future!

Great opportunity to grow as an individual based off of your technical and behavioral skillset.

Cons

If you are not assigned to a client, you could be on the bench which will affect your bonus.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
