Pros

Great work life balance, flexibility to your own schedule even at the consultant level. Higher management really do care about your success, and I've found that most are pretty supportive and vocal on your behalf for your career goals. The company is also still small enough that even as a new hire you get a lot of opportunity for ownership over your own work and projects.

Cons

Advertises as management consulting, but still heavily internal audit, specifically SOX auditing.

We are so happy to hear that working at Protiviti has been a great experience for you. If you are interested in working in areas outside of Internal Audit or Sarbanes-Oxley, we encourage you to talk with your talent management lead so they can keep you in mind for different types of projects in the future. In recruiting, we aim to share both what the company does and stories about what individuals in your local office do as well. We try to be transparent as possible and introduce you to many people so you can hear from them directly. It sounds like you felt you didn't get a full picture during your recruiting process. We will continue to focus on this transparency as our goal is to give a real job preview to everyone who recruits with us. We wish you all the best!

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
