Pros

1. Hands off management style lets you succeed or fail on your own merits in most cases 2. For most of a given year, work/life balance is on the right side of the spectrum 3. We have *some* really talented, skilled, knowledgeable people

Cons

1. After multiple rebranding and strategy re-alignments, we still don't know how to be anything but an internal audit firm. 2. People worth their salt see the writing on the wall and move on to better opportunities, leaving a dearth of talent to work with. 3. Newer and lesser experience employees with genuine talent and potential completely lack the mentorship needed to focus their skills become the management we need. 4. Outside of major markets, its very much a Wild West mentality. 5. Very reactive to the latest craze (SOX, Financial Crisis, Regulation), the answer to every one of these is "the boogie man is coming and we will help clients comply"

Pros

Compared to other consulting firms, the flexibility in the management here has been amazing. In my experience, teams do whatever they can to get the job done but also acknowledge that we have lives outside of work and are accommodating to that.

Cons

Pay is not competitive compared to other consulting firms and leadership is not as innovative as they could be.
