Pros

Just beginning my career here, but the benefits and vacation days seem very ample and promising. The training reflects real world scenarios and seems to be good preparation for the job.

Cons

I don't yet feel prepared to work in the IT specific fields. The training is highly focused on consulting with clients, so I don't know what to expect when I have to do IT related functions at the client site.

Thank you for taking some time to provide current feedback on Protiviti. We are glad that you are pleased with our benefits package and our hands on approach to training. Regarding your concerns on IT specific training, a lot of recent graduates feel similarly. Our team based approach will allow you to learn from those with more experience and guide you in specific training as it happens. I would encourage you to reach out to your project team and your various advisors with any questions. They are happy to coach and train you on any specific items that you are concerned about.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
