Pros

In the beginning, the people were the reason you went to work. The health benefits were very good. The various types of clients made the work interesting.

Cons

It's difficult to build a true consulting business when all you hire is fresh out college grads. 60% ranks under the Sr. Manager levels have never worked in industry. 99% of the hands on consultants have never worked in industry...therefore have no point of reference when trying to develop solutions that can be easily implemented in a true business setting.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
