Pros

Overall, Protiviti has really great people and a strong work environment. A focus on training and mentoring makes this a great place to start your career. If you are proactive and hardworking you can advance quickly. Senior management is approachable and understanding. The job offers opportunities to take leadership roles early in your career and strong on the job learning. Good work life balance depending on the project.

Cons

The salary is average at best compared to the industry. The salary/bonus advancement between Senior Consultant and Manager is incredibly low compared to industry. Since it is a consulting firm, your experience differs depending on the clients/types you have. If you aren't happy/challenge on a client you are on, you could be stuck on that client for an extended period of time.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at Protiviti. I encourage you to participate in one of our webinars about our Promises to our People where we discuss our approach to providing Competitive Financial Rewards for our employees. This informative session will provide a good overview of the tools we use to benchmark against our competitors. While we always look to provide our teams with challenging assignments, I encourage you to speak with your career advisor and/or Resource Management if you are looking for exposure to different clients. I hope you continue to find your experience at Protiviti rewarding.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
