Pros

The company culture is great, everyone knows each and socializes frequently. My supervisors are great people to work for. It is very clear on how get a promotion and/or earn a significant bonus. There is a great deal of flexibility on how to spend your time.

Cons

There is no transparency on how one's base pay is calculated. The type of work is specific to various geographical areas. So if you want to work on something that the company does, then you have to live in the city where that type of work is being sold or become part of a national team that is almost always traveling.

Thank you for commenting on the transparency of our bonus programs and advancement criteria. On the note about base pay ... Earlier this year, we hosted 2 info sessions for all employees that addressed, among other things, "How is my pay determined?" We will host these sessions again this year, so be on alert for them. Also, I appreciate your comments and suggestions on managing our resources.

Pros

Great opportunity to grow as an individual based off of your technical and behavioral skillset.

Cons

If you are not assigned to a client, you could be on the bench which will affect your bonus.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
