Pros

The Flexibility - I am able to work on projects I enjoy and am trusted to take care of my responsibilities while managing my own schedule. The Culture - We collaborate with our internal teams and with our clients. We have fun while we are working. We enjoy each others company. The Values - This company stands firm for its values and supports each individual to ensure we consider our values and promises day to day.

Cons

The ebb and flow of the market can result in periods of downtime followed by periods of increased work. This is mostly at the higher levels.

We continue to develop new ways to address the challenges of work-life integration, especially as it relates to the consulting profession. As part of that ongoing effort, we are rolling out a Protiviti Parents’ Network to engage working parents in tackling those challenges together. I encourage you to get involved – more to come soon!

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
