Pros

- It is a boutique shop, you can take on additional responsibilities - You get to get on a variety of projects from strategy to operation - The working hours are not as bad as other consulting firms, unless you are on a very demanding project - The partners are amazing. They are super approachable - The bonus is pretty generous

Cons

- The name is not as well known - Raises are only around 10% even if you are a top performer. I am used to 20% for top performers - Two many layers of positions (Consultant to Senior Consultant to Manager to Senior Manager to Associate Director to Director to Partner)

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
