Pros

Decent work/life balance. I do not frequently work more than 50 hours a week.

Cons

Upward mobility is tough if not impossible. I started at this company with a couple friends who were at the same level, and none of us 3 have been promoted after positive reviews and many, many years. Now, the other 2 of my friends have just left the company, and most people in my start class are no longer working here. I have no clue why Protiviti is ranked so highly in Best Companies to Work for, probably upper management flooding the submissions. If I could go back in time, I would not accept an offer with Protiviti. Beware - you will regret it. Pay does not fluctuate from year to year unless you receive a promotion, and bonuses are nowhere nearly as good as they lead on when you get hired.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
