Pros

I began my career at Protiviti 3 years ago and wasn’t sure how long I would be here, but now I don’t see myself going anywhere anytime soon. The people I work with truly care about my career growth and my salary has almost doubled in the time I’ve been here. My work life balance is unmatched and the work remains remote with encouragement to come in at least once or twice a week but there is no set requirement (I go in twice a week because my office throws great events and I’ve become good friends with many of my peers). Truly a great place to work.

Cons

There has been encouragement for us to work 45 hour weeks vs. 40 but I’ll take that over 60 hour weeks at other big consulting firms any day. There is also a lot of variance in pay bands and it’s not very clear what those bands are but I feel well compensated.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
