Pros

I work with a great team that consistently checks in to make sure my work-load is manageable & that I’m happy with the work I’m doing. Also, majority of the time I work 40 hour weeks, except for the occasion that client demand is excessive OR a proposal is due.

Cons

I do think Protiviti could be more transparent on how salaries are determined. I also understand that client work is what pays, but as you progress higher there are non-client demands that cannot be complete during the 40 hour week which oftentimes results in having to do after hours.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
