Pros

- Nice co-workers - decent office amenities - Relatively simple work

Cons

- Expected to be available 24/7 - Low pay & salaried, most people work 50 hours + - Low pay compared to similar firms - General lack of expertise by most employees, it's insane how they take projects while having no actual expertise in the area - Hours wasted in ridiculous PR activities / meetings etc.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
