Pros

Generally nice people, down to earth and trying hard, a lot of respect for good work

Cons

Extremely bizarre culture. Lots of pretense of experience without anything to back it up. Only partially educated on what they are supposed to be experts in. Management is sophomoric. Financial planning is pathetic. Nepotism is ridiculous. Almost everyone who works there went to college together and if you're not one of them you won't survive long.

Pros

Prowess is incredibly support of its employees, many of whom work as contractors at companies like Microsoft. The contractor position I have, and from what I've heard from others, they agree, is incredibly laid back. I would highly recommend the role.

Cons

Not being an actual employee of Microsoft has its drawbacks though. I have never really felt like a part of the team. I don't have any opportunities for promotions and have never received a proper raise, or any reason to go above and beyond the expectations of my manager. That said, its the best job I've ever had in terms of compensation vs time required in the role.
