Pros
I have been at Pruitt Health for 8 years. I started out at an entry level and was quickly promoted year over year, I have had 3 promotions. My managers have been true mentors and have always shown an interest in my career goals. I have been a nurse in 5 states over 16 years and was truly blessed to find my home at Pruitt. I see comments posted about the Political Action Campaign or Neil's involvement in government relations but during tough economic times in 2011-2013 I was grateful to have a CEO who remained active in state, local & Federal government. Neil is an advocate for an underfunded industry and works to help our patients get every resource available. During the economic crash I had several friends who worked at other healthcare organizations. They lost their jobs or worried about cut backs frequently. Pruitt invested in centers, purchased new centers and even renovated some of the older SNFs to improve the quality of life to our seniors. He made a commitment that Pruitt would not cut positions and that he would continue to invest. The culture is truly "Committed to Caring" with a focus on doing the right thing for the patient and the rest will take care of itself. I do not speak to Neil on a regular basis, I am not part of the Executive Leadership Team but I see him & other leaders in the center often talking to the staff and asking what he can do to make the organization & patient experience great. This is the same spirit my managers have, they always ask about my day or inquire about an assigned project to see if they can help.
Cons
The work is challenging but very rewarding, you are tasked daily with caring and a commitment to your patients. That is not something that can be taught, free thinking is encouraged and no one will micromanage you. This reflection allows better programs and processes for our countries most precious and frail population. The thing to remember when you apply at Pruitt Health is that you should be "Committed to Caring" and make that the 1st reason you want to apply.
