Pros
I love what I do; just hate the job. The facility is new and beautiful, but don't judge a book by its cover.
Cons
Opened a new rehab/LTC facility with no clue about state regulations. CNAs are expected to serve meals as well as regular work. Hmmm...serve food, clean up poop, serve food, clean poop. What an inspiring idea. Not to mention not having gloves available because "not in the budget." That 1st administrator quit with a $100,000 bonus because of the budget surplus. 11 months later, we are on our 3rd administrator, 3rd dietary manager, 2nd DON just quit. They offer ONE paid holiday per year. No sick leave, we must use PTO. This is no so abnormal for employers lately, but we are forced to work our next scheduled day off to make up for it. There is no organization, little corporate support, and it is downright scary! I am tired of apologizing to customers for thing I can't control, and tired of trying to fix things to keep them alive.
