Pros
Some inside and outside work, other managers are your community, good hours. Build a relationship with your DM and you will be able to rely on them (and vice versa).
Cons
Low pay leading to massive turnover, deaf corporate side, yearly bonus system gutted and not helping maintain employees because a whole year of working hard at $10 for one payoff feels like climbing a mountain for people who see Walmart hiring for $11-11.50, cost of living seemingly ignored when considering pay so that new hires quit within a week or two, managers working overtime for weeks on end get stressed out and leave or transfer that stress to new hires (who quit), secret shops touted as a way to keep workers honest (but no pay difference, only fear), district managers with their hands tied trying to keep employees when they have no incentives to keep anyone (firmly a corporate problem)
