Pros

I really enjoy my position as a District Manager at Public Storage. #1- I love the competitive environment. Everyday I get to motivate, coach and train my team to reach daily and monthly goals. I enjoy being able to see where my performance stacks up against all DMs in the company each month. #2- Work life balance- I can honestly say I enjoy going to work everyday and I NEVER work after 7pm daily. Coming from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, I hated Monday Morning. Now, I enjoy waking up and going to work everyday. #3- Coaching process- I love being able to interact and coach my team one on one 3-4 days per week. Our structured process sets myself and my team up for success and I like the impact I am able to have daily with each team member.

Cons

The hours are great! Not opening til 9:30am and closing at 6:00pm daily is definitely great for Work, Like, balance. The only downside is being open 7 days a week and most holidays, so you always need to be available. With that being said, the better you coach, train and improve your team the less you need to be involved daily.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this company! Great atmosphere, amazing support and teamwork! DM 0325 Krisitina is phenomenal when it comes to her role, support and associate encouragement. No micromanagement, and you are fully handed all the tools you need to be successful in this company. Pay is fair and hours very reasonable. Job duties are simple and the company stands firmly behind true customer service!

I'm genuinely grateful to be part of the Public Storage family. From the very beginning, I've felt supported, encouraged, and welcomed by everyone I've had the opportunity to work with. A special thank you to Javon, our District Manager, whose leadership, professionalism, and genuine care for the team have made a lasting impression on me. His positive attitude and commitment to helping others succeed create an environment where people want to do their best. I'd also like to recognize Akia, my trainer, for being so patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. She has made my onboarding experience enjoyable and has given me the confidence to grow in my role every day. I'm also thankful for Jimmy, Bree, Tabitha, Kevin, and every other Public Storage team member I've worked alongside. Each person has been welcoming, supportive, and willing to share their knowledge. Working with such an amazing group of people has shown me what a strong team culture looks like, and I know I'll have the opportunity to meet and learn from many more incredible coworkers as my journey continues. What excites me most is knowing that I've found a company where I can build a long-term career. It's rare to find a workplace that values its people while also providing opportunities to grow, and I truly believe Public Storage is a place where I can continue to learn, contribute, and eventually retire after a fulfilling career. Thank you again for making me feel like part of the team. I'm proud to be here, and I'm excited for everything the future holds with Public Storage.
