Lack of cohesiveness. Due to lack of in person meetings at the office or client site, work feels very transactional and not team friendly. There is no "PS way" of doing things, Principals, Senior Principals and MDs will conduct work how they did it at their previous firms which makes project experience truly a roll of the dice. Growth opportunities are poor. Most MDs and Senior Managers came from another firm rather than growing with PS thus banking on promotions as a method to rise to the top appears to be a dubious strategy. Good work at the SC levels does not translate to promotions. Feedback cycles are routinely pushed out by months, bonuses have been cut. Additionally if you're here to develop your skills, this is not the place. There is very little development for junior consultants, onboarding is poor and managers DO NOT like to coach. Managers have no problem throwing you under the bus or tanking your performance review for office politics. It's not a good place to be right now and morale is very low from SCs.
