Pros
My co-workers were great people. There was one short project that I genuinely enjoyed and wish I stayed for longer. It's impacted me enough to consider pivoting my career goals in a slightly new direction.
Cons
Lots. The firm and consulting in general is in tough times. Not a lot of new client projects and current projects keep shrinking as budgets tighten. I don't feel like I had many opportunities to work and gain meaningful experiences. 1. I was stuck on the bench for the most part aside from short stints that would remove me along with other teammates once budgets were slashed again. As a junior, I felt like its was a pointless uphill battle as I could always be replaced with a senior-level colleague from a LCOL location just to cut costs. 2. Staffing were very opaque and unresponsive about their project finding process so you were practically forgotten about the moment you're benched. I could ping them every week and they wouldn't answer a month later! 3. The engineering culture in North America is either borderline nonexistent or very scattered. Everything feels geared and dominated by their Europe and India offices. 4. Due to the limited number of projects, you could be flung to a project that has zero relation to your actual career goals or position.
