Pros

The customers and fellow employees

Cons

Pharmacy operations have become a laughing stock amongst pharmacy employees and seem as desperate as ever. Back in the fall they rolled out strep and flu testing and get this with pharmacists being able to prescribe Tamiflu and penicillin. That obviously, immediately got shut down by the health department. Since then to make up for their clown move labor hours have been cut from 10 to 50%. Its at the discretion of the pharmacy supervisor which pharmacies get cut the most. When you ask why your pharmacy hours have been cut more then another the supervisor will give you an answer of "I don't understand the formula". Which as you can see can lead to an unfair distribution of hours from pharmacy to pharmacy opening Publix up to potential legal issues.

Pros

You are in charge of your paycheck. What ever you can run determines your check. I was easily making $40+ running a 160. Most days I would clock out with 180-190 also making around 47 an hour.

Cons

Not too many cons. Only thing is it’s a physical job and no set schedule.but in the plus side you get your rest.

Pros

Good compensation including not just standard pay, but also end of year bonus 80 hours for hourly associates, 8% of your annual earnings granted to you in free company stock thru which quarterly dividends are paid, ok 401k, and gift card and other associate coupons. Good stability and growth. Good company culture.

Cons

Can be slow and resistant to change. Uses some antiquated systems and software that should have been replaced years ago. Does some things that don't make sense. Some managers can be good, while others not very good. Although these cons may be true for a lot of companies. All roads eventually lead to Lakeland where they are headquartered. Geography can be a big one if you are not a Florida native. If you don't want to live in Florida for some legitimate reasons, there can be limited job options in other states, especially if you aren't interested in retail or warehouse jobs. Standard retail negatives about not having a lot of holidays off.
