Pros

It can be an okay place to work depending on the managers.

Cons

Expected to work the job of three but get paid less than the people that barely finish their own job. Seniority matters and they get paid most and get to slack off yet get the better schedules and hours. If you're great they expect that 24/7 and will ask if you're okay if you work less one day. Other workers that work half the speed as you and just don't care never get yelled at but still get a raise. They worship customers to get them to come back which includes allowing them to be wrong and treat the employees like dirt, at least they pay the bills right?? Management is strict and will yell if you call out even if you never do. Expect to work holidays and the day before holidays. Basically it is all about who you know and who you blow to receive a promotion at this place. They focus more on making sure they are not racist or discriminate gays rather than actual skills. Many employees have said it is not the same company from when they started. George Jenkins is rolling in his grave at what this company has become.

Pros

Good compensation including not just standard pay, but also end of year bonus 80 hours for hourly associates, 8% of your annual earnings granted to you in free company stock thru which quarterly dividends are paid, ok 401k, and gift card and other associate coupons. Good stability and growth. Good company culture.

Cons

Can be slow and resistant to change. Uses some antiquated systems and software that should have been replaced years ago. Does some things that don't make sense. Some managers can be good, while others not very good. Although these cons may be true for a lot of companies. All roads eventually lead to Lakeland where they are headquartered. Geography can be a big one if you are not a Florida native. If you don't want to live in Florida for some legitimate reasons, there can be limited job options in other states, especially if you aren't interested in retail or warehouse jobs. Standard retail negatives about not having a lot of holidays off.
