Pros
The associate benefits are great compared to other retail/grocery companies. The Publix Stock system is phenomenal, and Pay starts decently above minimum wage.
Cons
The longer I've worked there, the harder it is to believe that they want what's best for you; associates are expendable, and you realize this quickly. People are shuffled around from store to store with very little say in the matter, especially if you're a Pharmacist. I've had coworkers and friends be offered a job at a different Publix only for Publix to rescind the offer and make it a demand, whether or not they actually wanted to move to the new position. ASSOCIATES DO NOT GET A DISCOUNT. Publix tries to make up for this by handing out Gift cards every few months, but the taxes on these cards come out of your paycheck and even then it can only be spent at the store.
