Pros
Some very talented people work there. Employees are genuinely very interested in making the company better for their customers - pretty much everyone around.
Cons
Overly heavy Director level of management, most of whom have been with the company many years. They are the real holders of power in the company and are also the main cause of so many "silos" responsible for often poor inter-business group relations. One specific problem the company has is business units that run their own IT solutions without IT Department input, participation and (supposedly) support. It's IT's own fault, as they have historically been unable to provide the services the business units have needed, so the business units go out and buy what they need, hire consultants to implement it and get 'er done - until all the problems are discovered. That whole problem has to be corrected or the company will continue to do a poor job capitalizing on their large projects. The entire organization is outstanding at finger pointing. Useless.
